The Indian Reproductive Wellness Alliance (TIRWA) was founded in September, 2025.
TIRWA is a social project that aims to remove barriers to reproductive health and cervical cancer awareness among women and girls from underserved communities in India.
Our interventions are backed by thorough research. We conduct surveys to gauge levels of awareness regarding sexual and reproductive health among young women between the ages of 16-35. Based on our findings we facilitate workshops with established reproductive health practitioners for girls and women to gain knowledge by asking confidential questions in a safe space.
Further, our factsheets distributed to participants at the TIRWA workshops allow for easy reading and recall of learnings from these sessions. Ultimately, we hope to raise capital in order to organize cervical cancer screenings for women above the age of 25 in private clinics.
Hoping to scale this intervention and make our research findings accessible to people passionate about reproductive health awareness, our founder is authoring a white paper coalescing interventions and strategies in the Global South to address women’s reproductive health.
