Anagha Manjrekar is a student at the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences at Somerset. Here she is a part of a rigorous 4 year Honors Program for highly focused students. This program ultimately gives the student not just a high school diploma but also an Associate Degree in General Science.
Passionate about Public Health, she has participated in the BioOncology Leadership Development (BOLD) at the Rutgers Cancer Institute in 2025, as well as the Rutgers Waksman Institute of Microbiology: Waksman Student Research Program in 2024, giving her first-hand experience in skilled lab work. She also interned at the Columbia Irving Medical Centre in 2024, where she shadowed Dr. Morgan Busko, a specialist in Pediatric Orthopaedics.
In her school, Anagha is the founder and chapter president of GirlUp, a girl-centric leadership development club. She is also the co-founder of Health Occupation Studies Association (HOSA), which hosts fundraisers, guest lectures related to health knowledge, and helps prepare students for regional, state, and national competitions related to health occupations. She is also the co-president of the Red Cross Chapter in her school, where she conducts fortnightly meetings with the members, plans future activities, and organizes discussions and guest lectures. Under her co-presidency, the Red Cross Chapter raised funds for MMR vaccines, relief from Hurricane Milton, and funds for the Red Cross itself.
As Anagha pursues her dream of studying public health and biology at university, she also enjoys swimming and playing the piano in her spare time.
